Pier Road
Welcome to the website for Pier Road, North Woolwich, where Populo Living, Newham Council’s development arm, are proposing to build new homes and commercial space.
Populo Living are bringing forward plans for a mixed-use development at Pier Road, North Woolwich.
The proposals for the development would ensure the provision of much-needed housing including affordable homes, as well as other community benefits such as ‘makerspace’ creative studios and a café.
Over the summer last year, Populo Living consulted with local residents and stakeholders to help shape the final proposals. This website contains information on what was presented to the public in June 2022.
The application was submitted to Newham Council in November 2022. The proposals can be found on Newham Council’s Planning Portal using the application reference number 22/02662/FUL and resident can leave comments.
Populo Living is currently revising the proposals following feedback from statutory consultees. These changes will improve the scheme further and it is anticipated that the application can be determined by Newham Council in the Summer.
